Privacy Policy

Tinycam has no accounts, no servers and no analytics. Your photos and videos are written to your phone and stay there. We cannot see them, because there is nowhere for them to go.
What we collect
Nothing. Tinycam does not ask for your name, your email address or a password, and there is no sign up. We operate no servers that receive your data, so no personal information reaches us at any point.
Where your memories live
Every photo and video you shoot is compressed on your device and saved inside Tinycam's own private storage area, along with the date, the file size and, if you allow it, a place name. Nothing is uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone. Deleting a memory in the app deletes the files; deleting the app removes all of it.
Because everything is local, Tinycam is not a backup. If you lose or wipe your phone without a device backup of your own, the memories go with it.
Camera and microphone
The camera is used to take the photo or video you asked for. The microphone is used only while you are recording a video. Neither is used in the background, and what they capture is written straight to your device.
Location, if you allow it
Location is optional, and Tinycam only asks for it after your first shot so it never stands between you and the camera. If you allow it, the coordinates of a memory are stored on your device so your timeline can say where you were.
To turn those coordinates into a readable place name, such as a neighbourhood and a city, they are passed to the geocoding service built into your phone's operating system, which is run by Apple on iOS and by Google on Android. That lookup is handled by the operating system under its own privacy policy, and the resulting name is cached on your device so the same place is not looked up twice. If you decline location, no coordinates are recorded and no lookup happens.
Your photo library
Tinycam keeps its own storage and does not read your photo library. If you export a memory, the system asks for permission to add that one file to your library. If you import a photo, only the copy you picked is brought in and your original is left untouched.
No tracking, no advertising
There are no analytics, no crash reporters, no advertising identifiers and no third party software development kits of any kind in the app. Nobody is counting your taps and there is no profile of you anywhere.
Widgets and the lock screen
The home screen widget and the lock screen camera are part of Tinycam and run on your device. They read a small snapshot of your own library, such as a few recent thumbnails and a count, from a private area shared between them and the app. That snapshot never leaves your phone either.
Children
Tinycam is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
This website
tiny.cam is a static page hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies, embeds no third party scripts and loads its fonts from this same domain rather than from a font service. Cloudflare processes standard server request logs in order to serve and protect the site.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Since Tinycam has no way to contact you, the honest place to check is here.
