Terms of Use

Last updated 25 August 2026

Tinycam is a camera that runs entirely on your phone. These terms are short because the app does very little on your behalf and holds nothing of yours.

Agreeing to these terms

By downloading or using Tinycam you agree to what is written here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Tinycam is offered to people aged 13 and over.

Your licence

You get a personal, non exclusive, non transferable licence to use Tinycam on devices you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms. The app itself, its name, its icon and its design stay ours. You may not sell it, rent it out, or pull it apart beyond what the law where you live specifically allows.

Your photos are yours

Everything you shoot belongs to you. We claim no licence over it, no ownership of it, and no right to use it, because we never receive it in the first place. What you record and who you record is your responsibility, including asking permission where the law or good manners require it.

Keep your own backups

Tinycam stores your memories on your device and nowhere else. It is a camera, not a backup service. You are responsible for backing up your phone, and we are not liable for memories lost to a lost or broken device, a wipe, a deletion, an operating system update or anything else that takes the files with it.

Fair use of the app

Do not use Tinycam to break the law, to record people who have a reasonable expectation of privacy without their agreement, or to interfere with how the app works on anyone else's device.

Paid features

If Tinycam offers a paid feature or subscription, the purchase is made through Apple's App Store or Google Play and is billed by them under their terms. Cancellations and refunds are handled by whichever store you bought from, not by us. Prices can change; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

The app is provided as it is

Tinycam is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non infringement. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or compatible with every device or operating system version.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for any loss of data, memories or profit, arising from your use of Tinycam. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or ten US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending it

You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app. We may end it if you break these terms. Deleting the app removes your memories from the device along with it.

Changes

These terms may change as the app does. The date at the top of this page is the version in force, and continuing to use Tinycam after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [country or state], and the courts of [city] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live.
